Sarah Bayfield is a clinical and advanced hypnotherapist and has trained with the prestigious U.K. Academy of Therapeutic Arts and Sciences. By practicing to the strict code of ethics as a member of both The National Council for Hypnotherapy (N.C.H.) and The National Guild of Hypnotists U.S.A. (N.G.H.) you can rest assured you will be treated in the strictest of confidence for your added peace if mind.

The practice is within easy reach of Bath, Bristol and much of the South West of England and is ideally located in the beautiful Cotswold village of Colerne.

As the practice is located in a naturally beautiful area of Wiltshire it offers a real escape from all the stresses and strains of everyday life in a calm, relaxed and comfortable environment. This allows you quality time to yourself for good and positive therapy to be achieved.

However, in certain circumstances I can bring the hypnotherapy treatment to you in your own home or work environment if necessary.

Sarah works on a wide range of problems from stress and anxiety reduction, increasing self confidence and improving personal performance in all aspects of daily life, reducing fears and phobias as well as weight control and stopping smoking. Deep relaxation sessions for general health and wellbeing are currently very popular for coping with these stressful and unpredictable times we live in.

Sarah specialises in providing a totally personal treatment plan recognising that everyone is an individual with their own unique set of circumstances and problems. The therapy sessions work on building up and individuals self confidence as well as accessing and utilising their inner resources though hypnosis by using the sub-conscious part of their mind which allows them exploration towards a clear and focused direction for change.

The self-control that is needed to remove any negative thoughts, feelings or actions greatly improves once you have learnt to tap into your inner resources and steering those resources towards a new positive direction. The sub-conscious mind does not recognise negative thoughts, feelings and actions and the words can''t, shouldn''t or won''t are examples of these negative words, so if you say to yourself whilst on a weight loss programme " I just cannot seem to lose weight" you will probably be unaware you are telling your mind and body NOT to lose weight.

As hypnosis is a very natural, pleasant and safe experience you can feel relaxed, calm and focused in both your mind and body enhancing your overall health and wellbeing. We all experience our own form of naturally occurring hypnosis in our daily life for up to 3 or 4 hours each day. Experiences such as the free flowing thoughts that float into your mind when daydreaming, travelling to work on the train for example and not being able to recall much of the journey as you felt sleepy, watching a good programme on television unaware of any other distractions going on around you and even when surfing the Internet where time just seems to slip away are all natural hypnotic states...
